La principal caracter\u00edstica de este grupo son sus piezas bucales picadoras-chupadoras, que se componen de un rostro con estiletes formados por las maxilas y mand\u00edbulas modificadas, los cuales reposan dentro de una vaina formada por el labio. Dentro de este orden existen especies fit\u00f3fagas, predadoras y hemat\u00f3fagas, tanto de importancia m\u00e9dica como agr\u00edcola (Fa\u00fandez &amp; Campodonico 2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antiguamente este orden se divid\u00eda en dos grandes grupos, Heteroptera (que se caracterizan por tener el primer par de alas modificados en hemi\u00e9litros, un tipo de ala mitad dura o cori\u00e1cea y mitad membranosa), y Homoptera (con alas completamente membranosas). Sin embargo, en la actualidad s\u00f3lo se mantiene Heteroptera como suborden y el ya no vigente Homoptera se ha dividido en Stenorryncha, Auchenorryncha y Coleorrhyncha (Fa\u00fandez &amp; Campodonico 2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong><strong>Hemiptera<\/strong>&nbsp;de Chile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En Chile el orden Hemiptera se encuentra representado por los cuatro sub\u00f3rdenes: Stenorrhyncha, Auchenorrhyncha, Coleorrhyncha y Heteroptera.
