Adicionalmente, todos los cordados comparten la presencia de somitas, un cord\u00f3n nervioso dorsal y la hip\u00f3fisis en alg\u00fan momento de su desarrollo (Guerrero Arenas y Gonz\u00e1lez Rodr\u00edguez 2011).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este tax\u00f3n comprende dos grupos vivientes, Cephalocordata (cefalocordados) y Olfactores, y este \u00faltimo a su vez se divide en Tunicata (tunicados o urocordados) y Craniata (= Vertebrata). Los ya mencionados craneados o vertebrados comprenden a algunos de los animales m\u00e1s conocidos y populares, como los peces, anfibios, reptiles, aves y mam\u00edferos. Los craneados se dividen en Agnatha (\u201csin mand\u00edbulas\u201d) y Gnathostomata (\u201cmandibulados\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\"><strong>Chordata de Chile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En Chile est\u00e1n presentes Cephalochordata, Tunicata y las dos clases de peces agnatos (sin mand\u00edbulas) vivientes: Myxini (= Hyperotreti, mixinos) e Hyperoartia (= Petromyzontida, lampreas), quienes conforman a su vez el clado Cyclostomi. En el caso de los Gnathostomata, todas las clases vivientes habitan en el territorio chileno, a excepci\u00f3n de Actinistia (celacantos) y Dipnoi (peces pulmonados): Chondrichthyes (peces cartilaginosos), Actinopterygii (peces de aletas radiadas), Amphibia (= Batrachomorpha, anfibios), Reptilia (parafil\u00e9tico, reptiles), Aves y Mammalia (mam\u00edferos).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se ha optado hablar de las clases Reptilia y Aves de manera diferenciada por temas hist\u00f3ricos y para facilitar la comprensi\u00f3n de los listados, pero es importante comprender que la sistem\u00e1tica y comprensi\u00f3n evolutiva actual de estos animales defiende la idea de hablar del clado Sauropsida, el cual comprende, entre muchos otros taxones extintos, a los reptiles y aves. Estas \u00faltimas, en conjunto con los cocodrilos, son los \u00fanicos representantes vivos del clado Archosauria, el cual comprende tambi\u00e9n a los dinosaurios no-aves, pterosaurios y a los parientes extintos de los cocodrilos (Nesbitt 2011).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>N\u00famero de taxones en Chile: <\/strong>2.144 aprox.
